Our Journey
From our origins as a traditional printer in 1884, over time, we adapted to ever changing markets and evolved into a thriving creative production agency.
And as a long-established family business, longevity and sustainability have always been at the heart of everything we do. As a result, reducing the impact we have on the environment is a key part of our operations.
Particularly over the last two decades, we implemented significant sustainable changes. To name a few, we’ve improved our recycling and waste reduction programmes, switched to vegetable oil-based inks and eco-friendly packaging, as well as chose carbon-neutral energy and electric vehicles for our fleet.
Also, in 2008, we were early adopters of the ISO 14001, becoming one of the first print businesses in the UK to receive this internationally recognised environmental accreditation. Since then, we have received many more certifications for our sustainability efforts.

Our Approach to
Sustainable
Development
Every area of our business is guided by our principles to be a positive force for the future, aiming to lead by example. Through our work and volunteering initiatives, we are committed to supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, most of our efforts being very much focused on improving people’s lives. Not only do these aims tie in with our business objectives, but we believe working collaboratively towards global objectives has the greatest overall impact.

The future
As we are continuing to minimise our CO2e emissions year on year, we have set a list of short and long-term plans to help us facilitate our sustainable transformation. Most importantly, we will be honouring our pledge of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2030. A significant step to help us achieve this milestone is switching to renewable energy by investing in solar electric panels for our premises.
In the meantime, our immediate priority is becoming a certified B Corp (link to B Corp announcement article we will publish soon), which will improve our operations and demonstrate our commitment to the highest social and environmental standards. We are also excited to discover and collaborate with other B Corps, growing together with like-minded individuals and organisations as a result.
Of course, we will also continue our community and social wellbeing initiatives, including our charitable support. Through our communications and events, we will also keep encouraging collaboration and sharing our industry expertise with clients, the local community and the next generation of workers.
Because only together can we make more possible.
