We were immensely proud to be recognised amongst leading Lincolnshire businesses at the 2024 Lincolnshire Business Awards.

Organised by the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, these awards covered highlight and celebrate the outstanding contributions made by businesses of all sizes and sectors in Lincolnshire.

The Planet Saver Award recognises an organisation with sustainability at the heart of their business, fully committed to sustainable practices and making the world a better and safer place for everyone.

Being crowned ‘Green Business of the Year’ represents a tremendous recognition of our 2-decade journey towards sustainability.

In 2017, Ruddocks was crowned the regional winner of the ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ Award by the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and British Chamber of Commerce.

Our achievement at the Chamber Business Awards reinforced what our clients always tell us directly and through our regular customer surveys.

They praise our team for their friendly, helpful, and always positive approach, rating us very high on our exceptional customer service and likelihood to recommend us to their friends and colleagues.

In 2024, we proudly received The Culture 100 Award – Growth Edition – a 12-month certification and award recognising the next wave of UK companies who are passionate about thriving workplaces.

This accolade comes following a robust application process, which included the opportunity for every staff member to contribute via an anonymous survey. Such recognition reflects our commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and work-life balance.

Backed by industry titans, such as The Economist, Business Insider, Fortune, and Forbes, and rooted in extensive research alongside Nielsen, this award is a testament to our dedication to building a company culture that employees love.

We are truly honoured to have received recognition for our employee wellbeing initiatives and be considered one of ‘the most loved and happiest B2B companies to work for in the UK’.

In 2017, our team developed a bold rebrand for British Steel, combining creativity and strategic solutions to relaunch an iconic British name.

The Transform Awards recognise best practice in corporate, product and global brand development work undertaken across Europe.

And at the 2017 edition of Transform Awards Europe, the new brand we created and implemented for British Steel became one of the year’s most outstanding brand transformations!

Our collaboration with British Steel received a total of 6 awards:

• GOLD – Best visual identity in the industrial/basic materials sector
• GOLD – Best implementation of a brand development project
• GOLD – Best internal communications during a brand development project
• SILVER – Best rebrand of a digital property
• SILVER – Best brand evolution
• SPECIAL AWARD – Grand Prix for overall excellence in rebranding

The judges described the new British Steel brand as a “strong and compelling branding project with excellent results, particularly in employee engagement”.

It was a real honour to be shortlisted in every category we entered, but to win 6 awards was incredible, especially considering we were up against global agencies and huge brands such as WWF UK, Pizza Express and ING Bank.

We are so proud of the recognition our work with British Steel received and our achievements together – undeniable proof that you don’t need to go to a huge London agency to receive high quality creative work.

In 2017, our illustrative project commissioned by the University of Lincoln was Highly Commended in the Best Community/ Business Engagement Campaign category at the Heist Awards.

The Heist Awards recognise and celebrate excellence, professionalism, and innovation in education marketing at all levels, from regional colleges to global university brands.

The project that was awarded was The Lincolnshire Puppy Book, which tells the story of a bright, energetic puppy who instead of attending school runs through the streets of Lincoln visiting various iconic local attractions, before being persuaded .

We packaged 15,000 books into class size parcels, wrapped them in specially designed puppy wrapping paper and delivered to all primary schools across Lincolnshire.

Our design and illustration work was greatly received by pupils and teachers alike, who praised the aspirational message that ‘you can be whatever you want to be’!

As a business, we are very focused on our local community and we were delighted that our work on The Lincolnshire Puppy Book received recognition and continues to encourage young people in our county to further pursue education.

In 2018, our work for Crusader Travel received national recognition, winning the Brochure of the Year Award.

Celebrating our collaboration on the coach holiday brochure project at the British Coach Tourism Awards represented a recognition of our creative design and production work.

In 2017, our work for British Steel’s employee newspaper ‘Steel Matters’ won the Best Internal Publication at the 33^rd CIPR Excellence Awards.

As the most established celebration of creativity and professionalism in public relations, the Chartered Institute’s PR Excellence Awards showcase the highest levels of professional achievement in the UK and beyond.

The Best Internal Publication Award recognises a particularly outstanding publication aimed specifically at an organisation’s internal stakeholders. Our team designed, produced and distributed over 4,000 copies of Steel Matters every month across 19 locations.

And it became a key communication tool for British Steel’s staff, broadcasting a wide range of news, from corporate information and project wins to community and people-led stories.

In 2024, our Managing Director, Paul Banton, was shortlisted as a finalist for the Business Leader of the Year category in the Lincolnshire Business Excellence Awards.

The Business Leader of the Year award recognises outstanding leadership that significantly contributes to the local community and beyond. And this nomination perfectly coincided with his 25th anniversary at Ruddocks!

For the past quarter-century, Paul’s positive influence and dedication to making a difference has driven Ruddocks’ success, supported our team, developed a culture focused on wellbeing, together with supporting our local communities, particularly around education and members of our community in need.

We were delighted that our work within the local community received recognition at the 2024 Lincolnshire Business Awards.

The Community Champion Award recognises an organisation that facilitates, participates in, and enables community engagement, demonstrating the power of giving back.

Although we were only a finalist in this category at the Lincolnshire Business Awards 2024, we instead won the ‘Planet Saver’ Award that evening.

In 2015, we received the Judges’ Special Energy Efficiency Award at the Lincolnshire Energy Awards.

This award recognised our team’s collective efforts to efficiently minimise our energy consumption over the years.
