A Little Luxury

Lemon and Lime gin bottle design

Breaking through a crowded market

A Little Luxury came to us following a recommendation from one of their jam stockists. Looking to build on their success as artisan preserve makers, the Lincolnshire-based family business decided to use locally sourced ingredients and diversify into handcrafting gin liqueurs. Having recently won a prestigious Good Food Bursary and with the ambition to grow, they realised that to gain broader reach they needed to revisit A Little Luxury’s brand, and carefully consider their packaging and marketing activities.

“The Christmas Gin was a definite hit, it sold out before we even made it to the BBC Good Food Show, people are already asking if they can pre order for next year.”

A premium brand

We updated the brand, designing packaging and labels for the gin bottles, as well as various promotional materials. The design was clean and fresh representing the flavours whilst the style warmly reflected the local, artisan roots. The transparency of the labels gave a premium feel and unique edge helping them to stand out in an increasingly crowded marketplace.

The company continues to move from strength to strength with the launch of new flavours and celebratory gins, and a move to larger premises. We continue to work with them on their brand as their story develops. Having designed their Christmas gin bottle, a regular sell-out at exhibitions up and down the country; we have also created the style for ‘Angels High’, produced to commemorate those who served in Bomber Command. This is a blue-coloured gin which changes to red when topped with a tonic representing the skies of Lincolnshire.
