As a family run business with a history dating back to 1884 we have values that are deeply embedded within our organisation. They influence what we do, how we behave and the decisions that we make. 

Responsibility, determination and the freedom to challenge are just some of the fundamentals that make up our comprehensive set of values. The phrase ‘We are our word’ however underpins everything, our reputation depends upon it, so quite simply if we say we will do something then we will do it.

The environment is important to us, we are ISO 14001 accredited, held since 2008, which means that we do everything we can to reduce our environmental impact. Our FSC certification reinforces our stance and demonstrates our commitment to sourcing paper from sustainable sources.

Charitable Giving

We are proud to support the excellent work of a number of charities. Through sponsorship, work in kind and volunteered time we have been incredibly fortunate to have been involved with and helped a number of charitable organisations both locally, regionally and a nationally. 

We continue to offer this support as we truly believe that it is part of our duty as a responsible community focused business to be able to give this time and resource.

Education

Throughout our business is a passion to help to develop the next generation of workers. We know the value to an employer of commercial experience so we offer placements and work experience each year as well as group tours for students of all levels.

To cement our involvement, we have launched the Ruddocks Scholarship with the University of Lincoln, whereby we are supporting a marketing and advertising undergraduate through their 3-year course with funding, regular time in our business and a 6-month contract at the end of their course.

Our Community

As an organisation we have been in the business community since 1884, therefore we endeavor to continually take an active and positive role within it. 

We take great pride to be able to give back, whether it is through tours and open days for interest groups, via our development of the Ruddocks garden with local primary schools or through our ongoing sponsorship of the Heart of the Community awards we are delighted to be able offer our support.

Investing in people

A key focus for us is on our staff, present and future. We are immensely proud that we have such an established team, with an average length of service of over 11 years, this is not only great for us but also our clients as they experience unrivalled continuity.

But we don’t sit on our laurels so we continue to invest in our people, alongside championing continual personal development we’ve introduced our Emerging Leaders Programme, an initiative to develop future business leaders, as well the ongoing roll out of structured team development sessions throughout the business.
